Our Cultural Activites

Valmiki Jayanti
The Ramayana Centre commemorates Valmiki Jayanti by paying homage to the invaluable contribution of Valmikiji to mankind, reckoned as Adi Kavi, as he is the first author of the Ramayana. Speeches, Ramayana chanting and other cultural activities are organised on the occasion.
Bhajan Sandhya
Every year the Centre organises Bhajan Sandhya on 22 December in honour of Late Smt Riziya Teelock, a generous donor of the Ramayana Centre to celebrate her birth anniversary.
Sita-Ram Vivah
Sita-Ram Vivah is celebrated at the Ramayana Centre to highlight the significance of marriage with all its rituals and rites. The purpose is to encourage wedded couples to bring into practice honesty, loyalty and dedication in their relationships.
Ramayana Saptaah and Tulsidas Jayanti
Six days prior to Goswami Tulsidas’ Jayanti celebration the Ramayana Centre organises the Ramayana Saptaah. During these days the verses of the Ramcharitmanas are recited and interpreted in today’s context.
To pay reverence to the great saint, Goswami Tulsidas, the Centre celebrates his birthday on a grand scale. Activities like seminars, Ramayana chanting competitions, drawing and painting competitions on Ramayana are organised.
